experience creative time with us . . .

Hi I’m Jean-Louis,
I was born in France and have lived most of my life in Australia. I now live in Provence and pursue my art endeavours.
I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with others and, as a long-time art-educator, I have the skills to help you build on your knowledge so you can confidently pursue your art practice.
I’m fluent in French and English as well as very knowledgeable in many forms of art media. I have a BA Fine Art (painting and printmaking), and a teaching degree, plus loads of experience. I’ve taught in schools and private classes for over 30 years and had many successful solo and shared exhibitions. Currently I exhibit in my atelier in Jouques.

Bonjour I’m Fiona,
I’m from Perth, Western Australia, but am presently having the time of my life here in Provence!
After a career as a Graphic Designer, I am finally getting back to making things with my hands, embracing a slower way of life and living more creatively.
I love working with textiles, improving my culinary skills, learning about French culture, taking photographs, and always working to improve my French!
I’m also passionate about hosting travellers in our beautiful home in this lovely village close to Aix-en-Provence.
You can view some of my photos on the Gallery page, plus you might like to subscribe to our NEWSLETTER – find the sign-up form on the bottom of the HOME page, you’ll receive an informative Newsletter, plus the occasional blog post about how we made our dream to live in Provence come true.

You'll love our village too!
We chose Jouques because it is a genuine, living village, situated in the heart of Provence.
People live here all year round, so it is vibrant and a true reflection of French life and culture.
It has beauty and character with a good dash of history thrown-in.
Within a radius of 60 minutes drive-time there’s an enormous variety of things to see and do.
Everything we need is here – even drinking water flows from the fountains 24/7.
Plus the surrounding forest has many easy to access walking and cycling trails.
